Herley’s Micro Systems Awarded a $1.5 Million Contract to Provide Target Control Transponders for Aerial Target Drones

LANCASTER, Pa., June 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY) announced today that its Micro Systems subsidiary located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida has been awarded a production order totaling $1.5 million on a long term production contract. The order from a major defense prime contractor represents the exercise of a contract option for target control transponders for a quantity of 15 full scale aerial target drones and a number of spare assemblies.

This long term production contract was preceded by an extensive development effort. We are now in steady state production and expect annual orders for a number of years into the future.
