Herley-MSI PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort)

Our employees continue to interact in the community and show our Herley Pride. Our latest endeavor was the American Cancer Society Relay for Life activities that culminated on May 2-3 with the annual walk at Choctaw football stadium. Our Relay team had a very successful year by participating in numerous money making activities including things like bake sales and raffles of donated items all year long. Our thanks go out to Wanda and Angie, our co-chairs, and all the team members for a job well done. After a year of hard work (and fun) they even put together a great theme based on the story of Cinderella for the Relay program. Our “Herley Pride” was on display in full force as Cinderella and Prince Charming dazzled the youngsters, the team earned thousands of spirit points, walked the relay, and donated nearly $2700.00 to the American Cancer Society.

Our next fun activity is the annual Company picnic that is scheduled for May 17, 2008 at the Eglin Beach Club. Each year we use input from our team members to develop a spring/summer outing, giving our staff the opportunity to get together without talking or thinking about work. Last year we had a Hawaiian Luau complete with a roasted pig and dancers from the islands. This year we’re going to set up the volleyball net and horseshoes in the white sand right on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.
