The Micro Systems, Inc Flight Termination System (FTS) is a redundant self-contained, portable 425 MHz Wideband FM system that can transmit the necessary codes to Monitor, Arm, and Destroy a missile in flight. The system consists of an FTS Transmitter System for encoding IRIG flight termination commands and an FTS Receiver System for detecting, decoding, and monitoring commanded signals from the FTS Transmitter System.
The Flight Termination System includes the following features:
- Automatic transmission of IRIG signals required to arm and destroy a missile as well as place the missile in option and monitor mode
- IRIG 313-01 Compliant
- Automatic 1:1 redundancy
