Electro Explosive Device (EED)

The BQM-167A features both an automatic and commanded parachute recovery system. The parachute recovery system is actuated by small explosive cartridges called squibs. The Micro Systems, Inc EED provides safe and precisely timed ignite signal to these cartridges to release the parachute in a carefully controlled fashion. The EED also controls the commanded release of tow targets.
