Digital RF Memories (DRFM)

Used for radar target and ECM signal generation, the 6 to 18 GHz DRFM sub-system provides complete,continuous coverage with an instantaneous bandwidth of 500 MHz. The system is available with a fast (1 ~s) or slow (100 ms) tuning LO to meet all types of system applications, lab, chamber or free-space hardware-in-the-loop simulators.

The system is controlled using simple VME bus or Ethernet commands to provide the DRFM memory functions and the LO tuning. PC control software is provided as a standard feature of the equipment. Special features include user-partitioned memory files and fast bypass modes of operation.

The DRFM unit is packaged in a 8U, 19″ rack-mountable format and operates from standard autosensing AC supplies. The system can be provided in more rugged formats and in different mechanical configurations. Other frequency bands and interfaces are also available.
